Martin Carlos Mwizerwa
He the current Acting Director of kLab as well as the Acting Div Mgr, National ICT Planning and Coordination in the Information and Communications Department at Rwanda Development Board. In addition,he is also the Head of the Mobile Solutions Cluster one of the 6 IT industry clusters. Passionate about seeing Rwanda transform into a dynamic global hub for business, investment, and innovation.
He has provided support and guidance to several ICT start-ups and several of them have turned out to be sustainable businesses. Prior to joining RDB, he lectured at the National University of Rwanda. Martin holds a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree with over 7 years’ experience in the areas of Strategic Planning & Marketing. He Initiated and coordinated the development of the Third installment of the National ICT Strategy 2015 (NICI III)
Elizabeth is a Human Capital and organisation development expert with over ten years’ experience in Human resource development, organisation development and Institutional capacity Building gained from working at KPMG East Africa, Deloitte ( Kenya) , World Vision International ( Kenya), Safaricom Limited, PriceWaterhousCoopers (PwC) Rwanda and recently at Rwanda Development Board.
Elizabeth’s area of expertise is in human resource management and strategic consulting. She has developed the national TVET Career guidance framework for the Workforce development Authority. She led the development of the Sector Skills Councils Framework and establishment of 9 Sector councils in priority sector sin Rwanda to promote skills development with private sector engagement. She is presently working on developing a standard for SME Developers in to guide the practitioners in developing SME and facilitating training.
Elizabeth holds a Master of Science in Human Resource Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and has had training and experience in project management, Monitoring and Evaluation.
An experienced business development consultant with about 5 years experience in small & medium scale start-ups with core activities in business strategy development and establishing customer oriented services. Samuel Manzi holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Gloucestershire, UK and a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting from Bangalore University, India. He has worked with reputable organizations in the field of finance, administration and consultancy mainly in higher education projects.
He is currently the London School of Commerce (LSC) Group country representative in Rwanda and a business development officer for Globe Education (GB) Ltd.
Mr. Eric Rutabana is the Chief Investment Officer for Business Partners International (BPI) Rwanda SME Fund, an US$ 8 million Private Equity fund, where he is responsible for Investment Strategy and Policy oversight, due diligence (including identification, negotiations, closing) on investee companies, Investment Portfolio Management and Monitoring as well as final exit thereof. He has occupied this position since June 2011. Before then, he was Head of Credit at KCB Rwanda from August 2009 where he set up the credit infrastructure for the Bank that had just joined the market. He also served as Corporate Banking Manager, Leasing Manager, Relationship Manager and Credit analyst at Banque Commerciale du Rwanda (BCR) – now I&M Bank (Rwanda) Ltd., where he started his banking career in April 2004. Mr. Rutabana holds an MBA Finance from Maastricht School of Management, Maastricht, the Netherlands and a BBA degree from the National University of Rwanda. Eric has also been involved in other endeavours promoting entrepreneurship such as business plan competitions as a judge and speaker and at the famous RDB Business Excellence Awards as Chairman of the panel of Judges in 2012.
All-round marketing professional. Served in senior marketing positions in the banking and aviation sectors supporting companies to achieve business targets and raise corporate image through the application of integrated marketing communications, aligned to their overall strategic intent. Done consulting in brand management, PR, market research and business development for small, medium and large companies. Worked as marketing manager I&M Rwanda(formerly BCR), Brand manager Ecobank Rwanda and Sales and Marketing Manager Akagera Aviation & Silverbacks Cargo.
Jean de Dieu KABENGERA, A.K.A Jado,
He holds a bachelor degree in Information Technology obtained from Kigali Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), currently pursuing Masters of Arts in Leading Innovation and Change at York St. John University in Collaboration with Robert Kennedy.
Jado has worked with different organizations (public, private and civil society) involved in youth employment and entrepreneurship, such as Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Youth and ICT, Ministry of commerce and Industry, Private Sector Federation, Rwanda Development Board, Educat, Education Development Centre (EDC) among others. He is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Millennium Media Ltd, a company providing designed conceptions; prints and advertisement services. He is currently the Programs Manager at Youth Employment Systems (YES Rwanda), a youth advocacy institution present in 60 countries.
Mark has extensive experience working with and working in SMEs to achieve rapid growth. He is the managing director and lead business coach at African Growth Partnerships.
Mark has worked as a commercial director of an IT SME in London and the operations director of an agribusiness in Rwanda. He currently acts as an advisor to a number of SMEs and coaches entrepreneurs in Rwanda and Kenya on going to market, action planning, financial management, building teams, strategic planning and all aspects of business growth.
Mark has a BSc in Computers and Psychology from Durham University in the UK and a mini MBA from ETC Consulting Limited, London.
